Economic competitive advantage in today's globalized market requires adequate transportation capacity。This is especially true for Taiwan, at the heart of Asia's gateway。AECOM aviation experts work with Taoyuan International Airport to provide the airport's development blueprint。With the rapid growth of cargo and flights in the Asia-pacific region, Taoyuan International Airport (TIA) is set to play a key role in promoting regional development and enhancing Taiwan's competitiveness by using local and international markets as an important regional hub。
Taoyuan International Airport Corporation (TIAC) has embarked on an ambitious development plan to expand and transform the airport into a major hub airport in Asia。As part of this plan, the planning and design of a third runway will be undertaken。
The proposed third runway would run parallel to the two existing runways and separate from the existing northern runway to allow for independent operation。As a first step, the project team conducted an extensive topographic and geoengineering (borehole) survey to provide a technical basis for subsequent engineering assessments。Taking into account land availability, obstructions and airport boundary constraints, runway length analysis and runway separation studies have been conducted to determine the optimal location of the runway。
Results of the preliminary planning study,Will include solutions with clear plans for new runways,Including runway length, RET location and other airport taxiway connections, type of runway operation, required navigation equipment, AGL/A-SMGCS, preliminary pavement thickness design and other engineering solutions,Used in major grading, drainage and hydrology engineering。The service is a partnership between AECOM and CECI'S JV。This project will be carried out simultaneously with the taoyuan International Airport renewal project and the integration of the two projects will determine the long-term master plan of Taoyuan International Airport。
